I mean, why do they? It bothers me to see 6th graders saying they found their soul mate. I am just curious to know why.

Well, this is what they call freedom of speech and a free society and they think that they have earned this freedom after lots n lots of sacrifices, I wonder what did they earn? Setting up a preteen to be abused by her boy friend? Poor kiddos! Poor people.

Trust me, I am happy being the part of East...:)

well 6th grade might be a little soon for them to fnd thier mate, but its part of life you can't just see someone a mile away and be like that's is my soul mate, you have to know who they are inside and what you want in a soul mate. dating I think helps you find what you need in a soul mate and also know the problems tht go with it! I had my first GF at 17 and that's not because I couldnt get any it was because I didnt think I was ready to handle such a thing! when I have a kid in the future I will let them have friends of the opposite sex and all, but i'll make sure that it doesnt become sexual or loving.

It is not all societies and it also has to do with family values. Most parents don't make time out for their kids and the kids are left at the mercy of the society which tells them its ok to have sex as long as you use a condom or its ok to look sexy cus that is when ppl will notice you. The good book says "teach your child in the way he or she ought to go and they will never depart from it". The way children are raised determins how they live their lives and how they raise their own children one day. So my advice to you is to teach your children values you hold dear to your heart and they will not depart from it. Also consult the Bible every now and then

Well, what do we expect when we keep letting 15 year olds get pregnant and then try to raise a baby? We get 10 year olds who think that it's normal to date when you're 10 or so and that they're responsible enough to have sex when they're 12. So until we figure out how to control teen sex and pregnancy, then we're going to continue to have these types of problems. Letting kids raise babies is a problem, not an answer.
