Just a question but why as Brits do we brave the cold, miserable, wet weather of winter with our lemsips & lockets having cold and coughs, hope and pray for the weather to improve and when it does i.e. summer with its heatwaves, we jet off! And jet off to somewhere else? *Duh* shouldnt we as a nation have high holiday season around winter to escape the crappy weather head to warmer climates and then bask in our own heatwaves in summer and save wads of cash (as you wont have to pay premium prices? Tell me...

Why has nobody else thought of this?????????

Could it be that most holidaymakers have to take their holidays when the kids are off school?
You know - high 'summer' (pardon the expression in UK) or Christmas, or Easter etc?

And, these days, once the 'kids' finish school - you have to plan for the grandkids school holidays!

I never have summer holidays now. love to spend time in the winter around the Indian ocean, maldives, mauritius. seychelles. Or go to Dubai. But we have to pay soooooo much money for winter holidays. Worth it though!
