When a metal is machined, there is a chance of over machining which results in reduced dimension of the component. Is there any technique, to bring back the dimension, without rejecting the component simply...?

Depending on the value of the part (one of a kind?), lack of material to make another and the specific application, the part may be plated to make it slightly "thicker" if plating is permitted and practicable. good luck.

If you are not welding any material to the metal piece, there is no other way.

if its round and does not have a specified finish the part can be knurled beyond that if you cant weld on part no
