Wow! I think you need to take a break from life. Honestly Bono is one of the greatest people on Earth. So maybe you get sick of hearing him but God at least someone is taking their time to help the poor, starving children in Africa that are orphans b/c their parents died from AIDS or malaria. And since the government says that they'll help but then don't, he has to keep speaking out for those people b/c they are still dieing. That's why you hear so much about him, not b/c he's some stuck up celebrity that shows off their million dollar mansions on Cribs. So excuse him for caring. Sorry for you but I don't think he's gonna be quiet until more is done for those people. And by the way he happens to be in the best band of all time and I don't think they are retiring soon and they definatly should not, b/c their music still ROCKS! It's much better than most of that new music that sounds all the same and has zero talent. U2 is still going strong and will keep goind b/c they are tons of U2 fans, you are in the minority. So I don't see one reason to hate this man, I think your the one with the problem. And someone wanted to know Bono's age. He's 46 and gorgeous as ever.
someone down there posted the stupid hat story. yawn. it's fake, rumor, not true.

Bono actually is out for a great cause. I don't think I see most other people being an activist to the extent he is. If you've never read the book of Bono's interviews, never seen him on TV, or never seen him speak in person, I don't think that speaking of him negativly is right. He has a great cause, whether or not you are for his music, and Bono has the potential to save the world, if people will stop being hard-headed, and actually listen to what he is saying.

Why on earth would you hate Bono? You may not like his singing. You may not like his music. You may not like his figure. Whatever... If you hate someone you don't know and who not only hasn't harmed you in anyt way but also does what he can for the world while other stars sit and do nothing, then maybe you should take something to calm yourself down. As for Bono enjoying the money he's earned honestly being subject to criticisms, that's purely mean and hypocritical. How many people, in your way and according to what you possess, have you aided by sharing and not living your own life? It's so mean and hypocritical it makes me want to scream!

yes i do - 2 of the reason are below... and this is the guy who preaches to us about poverty!! who does he think he is? jesus?
BBC News reported that the cheapest full-price ticket for a Feb. 20th U2 concert in Sao Paulo costs “about two-thirds of Brazil’s minimum monthly wage.”
Shortly after leaving for a CHARITY gig with Luciano Pavarotti in Italy one day, Bono was dismayed to learn that he had forgotten to pack his favourite trilby hat.
First a cab took the hat to Gatwick Airport from West London, running up a £100 fare and tip," ananova reported. "Once there, stewards collected the trilby and put it on Monday's 1.40pm British Airways flight to Bologna, costing Bono £442. But even though it had its own first class seat, flight attendants were concerned it would go missing or get squashed so they moved it into the cockpit. On touch-down, a £150 hired driver grabbed the hat and sped to Modena. 'Including £200 insurance and tips, he spent about £1,000 flying it out...'"
how many mouths would that feed?

Oh, yeah. I've hated him ever since I started researching how to play his songs on guitar. Oh, three simple, beginner's chords. Hey, I can put three chords together too, give me a friggin' grammy! I posted a Bono question too...please check it out.

What precisely makes him a douchebag? the incontrovertible fact that he words without difficulty to feed the ravenous, to help people who can't help himself? Why is he interest starved? by way of fact thousands and thousands upon thousands and thousands of followers have cherished his artwork and his music for virtually 3 many years now? you does no longer innovations seeing him seize a stray bullet? so which you think of all people who spends his occupation sharing a message of solidarity, attractiveness and peace might desire to fulfill a violent end? i'm advantageous you weren't born yet if you consider which you sound like a sh!thead teen, yet once you have been, might you have cheered whilst John Lennon grew to become into shot? i think of jerk-offs such as you may desire to close up. i'm so ill of people who do no longer something in life yet take in area and waste actual everyone else's oxygen grant criticizing people who supply a lot. in case you do in comparison to U2's music that's possibly when you consider which you're an immature fool who can't relate to it when you consider which you easily want an IQ to savour it. in case you hate Bono by way of fact he's continually interior the generic public eye doing for others, possibly you may desire to pass out of your mum and dad domicile and attempt doing for somebody besides your self. i know you wished to submit this to look cool, yet you particularly purely regarded ignorant and infantile. i might a lot particularly see the stoned-out, no-expertise, scream-at-the-international piss-unfavourable excuses for rock singers silenced than the final one that particularly mattered. yet i assume after endless Grammys, merchandising thousands and thousands of albums and tickets and being hailed as between the main influential bands in years, you particularly confirmed Bono and his friends with your moronic submit.

I think he becomes tiresome, when you recognise that all the effort he is putting into his amnesty work etc, and he's sitting on a pot of gold, living in hotels and flying all over the place, if he gave up half his fortune then i would consider letting him live.
til then in millitary terms or royal terms, one is considering ones options.
