It means your uterus can't read a calendar. Maybe you should have one installed.
You don't have periods based on some arbitrary divisions that people have given names to like "March" "April" etc. You have periods based on your cycles. Would you be happier if we created a new calendar with 45-day long months?
So you had one cycle that was at least 36 days long, followed by one that was 47 days long, followed by another one that is (so far) 44 days long. Those are pretty long cycles. You *may* not be ovulating. Or you may just have long cycles. The only way to know for sure is to chart. Please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler for detailed information on how to chart and determine if and when you are ovulating.
One more thing I would *really* recommend is to read up on preventing and treating pre-eclampsia. See sources section below. Most doctors still claim that it can be neither prevented nor treated, but Dr. Tom Brewer proved that this is not the case.

ask your doctor. if you have been on something like depo provera shoots for a long time, or just started getting them, they can greatly affect your cylce. If you are majorly under or over weight, that can make your period out of wack also along with excersicing way way to much. another thing that could be causing it is stress, that plays more of a role on peoples bodies than they realize. Other than being prego and having a period during pregnancy (which is not unheard of). There would some other medical reason. If you are not on birthcontrol and your want your period regulated, your doc will probaly put you on the pill. go see a doc, and take good care of yourself.

Irregular periods can happen for various reasons. Best to get checked out by your GP to make sure everything is ok as it is harder to predict when your ovulating otherwise.

you might have a hormonal problem!
How old are you?
If you are younger than 18 that is normal till your menstrual cycle stabilizes.
