We've just had a baby boy 5wks ago and we were SO stuck with a name, especially as we have a funny surnam to go with and that ruled out quite a lot of the names we liked because they sounded silly!! They are so limited and all seem so common, o think we had 3 girls names we'd decided on as we were not sure on the sex. Up until about a week before he was due he was going to be called Liam but then my other half decided he didn't like that anymore. Luckily he was 8days overdue which bought us a bit more time to ask peoples ideas and eventually we decided on the Name Harrison Andrew. Its always worth asking people around (Harrison was suggested by one of the barmaids in my mums local pub!!)

Some great ideas here: Michael, Jason, Joseph, Martin, Vincent, Gareth, Lee, Sean, Leo (and more, I'm sure.)
Do not use the following: Austin, Logan, Frank, William, Jordan, Sam, Hunter, Jeremy, Jerome, Antoine, Denzil, Jonah, Marvin, Kelsey, Adolf, Gordon, Jorge, Kimi, Robert, Jeffrey, Ray, Charles, Tito, Paco, Sucré, Deshawn, Sylvester, Arnold, Pootie, Al, George Bush, Lucifer, Mephistopheles etc.
Names NOT mentioned are either (#1) too boring to remember, (#2) to horrible to type or, (#3) all of the above.

do some geneology while you are still prego and use a name from your famiyl history a few generations back. That is what I did with my 10 year old and he likes his name and so do other people. It is also not so common that there are 2 in every classroom in the US. My son's name is Asa. but like I said it is an old name with a lot of meaning to me!. congratulations! Let us know what you pick! good luck!

Instead of using TV names like the majority of your answers try to be a little original and more thoughtful , Paul, Tony, Adrian, Mike, Robert, David, Martin, Stephen, Colin...think of the poor devil when his schoolmates try and pronounce idiotic American names that are now very common

How about Niall, pronounced like the river Nile. It is an Irish name, which i think is really cool, different without being any of these stupid made up names.

I live in the UK too and I agree there are some strange names out there. I like Connor for a boy, or Haydn.

My little boy is called Reece.
I also like the names Lucas, Lewis, Cole, Leo, Ryan.
Probably depends if you're in the US or UK, depending on popular names.
Good luck in choosing and good luck with your son x
