“There is no absolute truth. You can’t be sure of anything!”
Those who say that there are no absolutes are often very adamant about their belief. If they say that they are absolutely sure, then they are wrong because their own statement is an absolute. If they are not 100 percent sure, then there is a chance that they are wrong and they are risking their eternal salvation by trusting in a wrong belief. God tells us that there is an objective, absolute truth that is not subject to man’s interpretations or whims, on which we can base our eternity. That truth is the Word of God (John 17:7)?

I feel for you. It grieves me for I was lost once....
Man you have got to stop and ask yourself..WHAT IF I'M WRONG?
If you are right and there is no god and we have a conscience that tells us the difference from right and wrong for no reason, no big deal you loose nothing.
IF YOU ARE WRONG.... You have everything to loose. You are headed for hell IF YOU ARE WRONG. If you have at all the least bit of desire to live start thinking about it.

yes, Athiests all though not wanting to admit it are religious. Religion is beliefs based on faith.
I have faith and belief in Jesus Christ, there is a God and a coming judgment.
The athiest has faith and belief in himself and no god or judgment.
one veiw HAS to be wrong. I wouldn't want to be staring at God on judgment day saying "oops"...
make sure your faith is justly placed

I DO NOT KNOW
ATHIESTS BELIEVE THAT THERE IS NOT GOD, THIS IS IT, NOTHING ELSE GOING ON,,
WELL I AM SORRY FOR THEM, AS THEY ARE "TOO SMART" THEY CANT IMAGINE SOMETHING SMARTER AND SO MUCH MORE MYSTERIOUS THAT WE "WE" HUMANS CREATED BY GOD, ARE NOT CAPABLE OF UNDERSTANDING, THEREFORE, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE, YET TOO MUCH DETAIL, IN THE WORLD TO BE A BIG BANG ACCIDENT OR GASSES,
I KNOW ONE THING ATHIESTS DONT BELIVE IN GOD,
WELL GOD DOESN'T BELIEVE IN ATHIESTS

I am an athiest, and I am perfectly happy to trust my own belief that there is no god. I can throw the same qestion to you, how can you be sure the IS an absolute truth ? You are basing your belief on ONE book. Where are the other written evidences ? It is said the Romans crucified Jesus, where are their accounts ? Where is the cross ? Where is the holy grail ? Where is the Ark Noah built ? Where is the Garden of Eden ? You have no physical evidence your God created this planet.

Nobody really believes there are no absolutes. Typically what they mean is that there is very little we can truly be sure about. i'd have to agree with this. Even in matters of religion, it is still an issue of faith. We cannot really say that we are absolutely sure that Christ is the Son of God who was risen from the dead. The best we can say is that we absolutely believe and have faith in this. Faith itself rests not on absolutes, but on belief. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.

If God says there is an objective, absolute truch that is not subject to man's interpretations and whims, why is there a man in a pointy hat and his staff of followers sitting in the vatican interpretting it for people? Why has the interpretation on divorce, homosexuals and women in the puplit changed? Was it not objective and absolute before?

When a person says, "There is no God" it is implied the words "in fact" are included, even though they are not expressed.
All things are possible is a fact. Possible and probable are two different conditions.
But, it is a fact that God does not exist in fact because "in fact" means objectively verifiable by anyone, irrespective of faith or belief.
The Sun exists in fact; God does not exist in fact.
And, those are absolute facts at this moment, but are subject to change.

A wise man weighs up the facts of each individual situation as he finds it, the one absolutist solution for all eventualities seems a bit too blunt and crude for people like me.

There is NO absolute proof there is a God, nor proof there isn't!
The only thing absolute is that we will all die someday!
We just have to wait and see about the rest!

it really is not nothingness. The universe is going on precisely as previously, merely without me in it. once you placed aside the ego, it really is not problematical to understand. various the international isn't attentive to me. What huge difference does it make to the completed universe if i'm no extra?
