Pride is trusting in one's self, rather in the grace of God.
Adam proudly rejected God and threw in with the devil.
The rest of his existence was spent fearing death.
So, fear is the natural result of pride.
To eliminate fear and minimize pride, learn to put your trust in God.
It works.

fear is one of the instincts, in the natural way, it helps us to survive. but also, the fear is a strange thing... whatever u fear constantly, without a logical reason, comes to you one day. that's like a natural law... to handel it, u have to go inside u, and to find out the reason for ur fear...
and pride, well I'm not religious, but i believe in God, there for whatever i have, know, earn, can...is just a subject, that I'm very thankful for... and yes, i say sometimes to my family, that I'm very much proud of them... but it means more happy for, and with them, then anything else... about the personal pride , that is more your own, ethical limit...
from the biblical point of view to pride...
in the ancient times, slaves, or people from "lower" grade... where never hit with the palm, only with the backside of the hand...
to put the other cheek, means to provoke the hitting person, to slap u with the palm...which would make him and u, equivalent... there for: "show the other cheek"...
keep it in ballance.... then u'll be on the right way

Many christians are guity of the sin of pride so don't feel left out. You have made the first step by acknowledging that there is a problem. Most don't get that far.
