I'm flying from KC Mo. to Cancun using Ryan International. The ticket says I'll be flying class Z. Is that the samething as coach? I'm sure it can't be lower than Coach....Can it??

The class on an airline ticket refers to both the cabin (First, Business, or Coach) as well as the fare used for computing the cost of the ticket. For example, Class Y is Full Fare Coach on most airlines. Class Z is typically a deep discount coach fare ticket, often non-refundable. On Delta Airlines, classes L, U, N, and T are the deep discount coach fares.

Each airline has their own specific ticket class structure. The letters used don't necessarily correlate to an obvious cabin or fare. Class B might indicate a Full Fare Business Class seat while Class C might indicate a mid-fare coach fare upgraded to the Business Class cabin in exchange for frequent flyer miles.

FYI, Ryan International is a charter only airline. Class Z probably refers to every seat on board as a charter coach class seat. Their aircraft are high-density, single cabin configuration.

Z is usually a discounted business class ticket. Not sure about the airline you are flying. just check with them.
