Our family is vegetarian and at the weekend when I have time I make cheesy scrambled eggs, veggie hot dogs and either toast, waffles or hash browns - it goes down very well!

Please don't take any notice of the meat fascists who stuff their own children full of poison. A vegetarian diet is suitable for everyone who cares about their body and nutrition!

Go see a doctor right now!!!!!! A vegetarian diet can be harmful to infants, even fatal sometimes, You are Mal-nourishing your child. It He/She isn't getting all the vitamins and minerals which will give Him/Her a strong immune system. In a sense you could be preventing your child from surviving common diseases such as chicken pox and the flu.

I can not stress to you how much harm you could be causing. Not to mention the developmental problems (physical).

Human beings are omnivores which means our natural diet consists of BOTH meats and vegetables. To omit one it to omit half of our body's dietary requirements to survive.

Let your child have what is required to grow up healthy and strong, and let them make their own dietary choices when they are old enough to decide for themselves. I'm sure you were not born a vegetarian, if so You might not have been healthy enough to have your child by now. (your immune system might have shut down on you). Don't like my advice then go see a pediatrician, they will tell you the same things, and they know more about how children develop than any parent.

The best is smashed banana in some warm milk. Add a small quantity of honey. Also soak some corn flakes or anythign similar alongwith this for a few mins. When it gets soft, you can feed your little one little by little. Alternately, bread toasted with butter should be dipped in sweetened milk and when soft, fed. FIlling and nutritive.

Scrambled eggs, or chopped boiled eggs, with toast fingers or rice cakes. Cheerios (my daughter loves them). Weetabix, with fruit/milk/fromage frais.

My daughter also loves croissants & fruit salad but will depend whether your baby prefers to the spoon fed to finger food and, of course, how many teeth he/she has.

Most breakfast stuff is vegetarian so experiment & you'll soon find what works for him/her. Good luck

Is your baby allergic meat, doesn't like meat or are you forcing your choices and beliefs on your baby? You need to seek the advice of a qualified dietitian to ensure that your baby gets all the nutrients required for healthy growth and development.

Please talk to your pediatrician. I used to be a vegrarian myself and know children are unique. You might also want to see a registered dietian to get suggestions based on your dietary requirements and restrictions. I have seen bad things happen to babies in the hospital when people do things wrong in vegetarianism. Please get a dietian to tell you what is age approiate and meets nurtritional needs of your little sweetie.

Why is your baby vegetarian? Are they allergic to meat? If not stop imposing your lifestyle on them. That's not good for your child. Babies need meat. Babies need all kinds of food to get all the nutrients.
