Right click on the cell, or range of cells to format. Click on FORMAT CELLS. To change the text color, click on the FONT tab, to chance the background color click on the PATTERNS tab.

If you do this often it's better to put your drawing toolbar at the bottom of your screen. Follow the following procedure:
Click on View > Toolbars > Drawing
It will give you a format bar. Put this at the bottom or top of your screen. You will see a little paint bucket - when you click this it will colour the cell. There will also be an A in that bar - when you click on the A it will change the text colour.

first select the cell u want to colour then right click the selected cell go to format cells option, if u want to color the text then select Font tab n select the color n if u want to color the cell go to pattern and select the color

pls right click the mouse which where did u want to give the cell to a color then take format cell then init take patterns and chose the color which u want.init also codine font that will help u to change the type and color of u'r font

u can color only ur text if u want to change the style of ur cell so u have to go in formats and then click on styles.
