It sounds like a broken blood vessel. My border collie gets them sometimes. When they shake their heads they can break blood vessels in the floppy part and it fills with blood.

My vet said he could drain it and put in a suture, or it can be left to heal on it's own. Both ways take about the same amount of time, although leaving it can lead to a slight "crinkly" look on the skin of the ear. It always heals up fine for her.

I think what you may be describing is a hematoma. When floppy eared dogs scratch or shake their heads a lot (due to ear mites or yeast infections) a hematoma develops on the ear flap. To my knowledge, surgery isn't very beneficial or succesful. You do need to see a vet and find out why your dog developed this condition and get it solved. It's a common condition for floppy eared breeds due to moisture accumulating in the ear canal where air is not available to dry them out. Or, it may be something entirely different and seeing a vet and having an exam is your best bet.

This happened to my own dog once, and I've seen it a few times at the vet office I work at. This could be a collection of fluids in the ear. It can be solved by a simple surgery that will drain the fluids and won't leave much of a scar. However, I suggest you take your dog to the vet and have him/her check it out. They can give you a more conclusive answer.

while a canines has diarrhea, their bowels get annoyed and that they can't end the diarrhea on their very own many of the time. right that's what my vet recommends for my 3 Labradors while they have diarrhea: a million. No nutrition for 2 nutrients. this delivers the bowels a guess to recuperate. The canines won't starve, regardless of the incontrovertible fact that they are going to be hungry. that's often a mandatory step to get their bowels to end being contaminated. 2. Rice on my own for 2 nutrients. 3. Rice blended with kibble, including greater kibble and much less rice each and each time for various days. 4. circulate back to kibble. canines often times merely get disillusioned stomachs. It does not mean you ought to substitute their nutrition, except they are getting disillusioned stomachs lots. It does not mean that they have got worms, exceptionally if your canines is an interior canines and properly cared for. ETA: a poster under is actual, and that i forgot, that as quickly as you circulate to the vet, you ought to plan to deliver a stool pattern with you.

It might have been an allergic reaction to something such as a bee sting but i would consult a vet to make a proper diagnoses. My dog go stung by a bee and his whole face puffed up. Twice!!

Is it pillowy and filled with fluid? It could be a hematoma(blood filled pocket). Hard to say without looking at it. It's not to serious but you should call your vet in the morning.

Also look to see if your dog has ear mites. It would kind of look like lots of dirty ear wax in the ear.

Yes,heomatoma. No,doesn't have to be from ear mites or infection or bite, though it can. Prick earred can have as well. No,it doesn't hurt much. Yes,it CAN be fixed but...usually leaves a crumpled ear & doesn't have to be. No big deal-unless you're showing the dog

subdermal hematoma. a rupture in the flesh wall where blood fills causing the swelling. not dangerous but needs to be lanced and drained for the dogs comfort. it kinda like a blood blister. have your vet handle it.

Sounds like a bug or insect bite, could be a rodent or snake, but the marks would be prominent.
