For my mum's 50th birthday, I named a rose breed after her. Costs about £100 and the rose breed goes onto the Rose Register so you can now go into a garden centre anywhere and order the "Kathryn Farrow" rose

Maybe a time of pampering at a salon...or something they would see as an extravagnce that they wouldn't normally do themselves...or maybe something they can keep as a lasting memory, such as a studio sitting for a portrait photograph...whatever you choose, I am sure they will enjoy it...a gift is from the heart!

If you're a large family with (your parents) sons, daughter, grandchildren etc) and maybe you don't all see your parents together (once a year at christmas!!) often.

How about getting together and having some portrait photos taken. Maybe frame one or some in a nice picture frame

Why don't you make a scrapbook of their life together? Wedding pics, family holidays, school portraits etc. It would be somthing they could cherish when the party's over and you'd still have some money to get them a gift.

If you are planning to buy for them individually, you can buy a watch for your father and maybe your mother some cute little things and a cake for both of them to celebrate that should add up to a total of $100....

I would just give them the £150, that way they could buy something they wanted.
