Supernatural phenomena usually accompany angelic visitors, or the times when God himself decides to drop in and visit us on earth.

The first Christmas was certainly one of those times.

Read the first chapter of the old testament book of Ezekiel and see what happens when God's throne, along with a choir of angelic escorts, materializes in our earthly sphere of existence.

No one has yet been able to satisfactorily explain the Star of Bethlehem. I figure this is as good a possibility as any. The bible is replete with other similar examples of this, too.

no, the star was probably a comet. Why must people put a second, religious meaning on everything. it ws just an extra bright star.

the bible talks about the star of bethlehem as if it was some big thing.

but nobody else saw it. no roman mentions any remarkable sidereal phenomenon, no greek astronomer talks about it, there is nothing in the chinese histories.

the star of bethlehem was one of those things you can only see if you already know it's there.

like the point of the war in iraq.

If that's what you believe, that's what you believe will happen.

Just watch out for traffic if your star leads you onto a busy highway.
