I mean the ones forced to fight in Iraq.

Of course. They didn't ask to get sent out there. They're just doing their jobs. My husband is in the military so I may be a bit biased. But I loved the troops even before I married him. I wish they could all come home - some have been over far too many times and for far too long.

But I don't support the war. But I totally support the troops 110%.

Yes, I support American troops, no matter where they are sent, what they do, they are the reason that you and I are free. For the record, they are fighting so you don't have to. When you sign up for the military, no one signs up; thinking they will be sent overseas, living in a land where they aren't welcome, living in conditions that you would consider squalor, fighting with people who might be the enemies, seeing their friends killed, nor asking to be maimed, to be apart from their families for a year, missing out on births, deaths, first steps, first words, family reunions, not knowing if they will even come back at all, having to take a life and try not having it affect you. For those people who say that the troops signed up for that, you don't know what you are talking about. You mock them and call them names, but they are fighting so you can do that. They are only doing the bidding of Congress and the President, a man who's own military career is shady at best. So when tomorrow, the 4th of July, rolls around and you spit at the American flag, you can thank an American soldier for that right.

I support all troops who fight for their country or cause. How do I? I value anyone who is forced into battle, be it for good or evil, the good guys or the bad guys. When people are forced, I support them even if I don't support their cause.

Though obviously, being an American, I do support the troops since they are doing their jobs over there. Secondly, I have family and friends in the armed forces, and I give them my full support and prayers.

some of our friends above are bios or they do not know what the troops are facing world over. one thing is for sure that they are not of their own in the Iraq. they are obeying orders. supporting troops is OK but supporting the war they are fighting no way.

Absolutely without reservation. They sign up to try to make a difference - and they HAVE made a difference. Stop listening to the news and TALK to some who have been there Listen to Luke Stricklin and Hearts N Minds (both have pages @ myspace) and read Jason Adams' "Active Duty: Letters To Home From Iraq". Be thankful they are willing to give their life for those too selfish to support them or too political to see them.
And the critic who hates them...the border is open and you're free to leave. If you hate them that much you surely don't want to benefit from what they provide so maybe you can go to another country...try Iran or Afghanistan and say how much you hate living there.

Our guys have "rules" - the enemy has none. Hate and killing as many as they can is the "rule" for them. And they'd kill the critics just as fast as they'd kill anyone else.
God bless our troops

USA1979 and no like_go home...

You are both obvious morons. Why don't you take a history lesson, or finish school before you decide to talk about something "adult."

The troops should be supported, they are the only things that separate us from becoming a 3rd world country with a dictatorship, communism, and all rights, and freedoms taken away. Think about it!

I support them completely! I am married to a military member, so I have great respect either way. But my respect is greater to those who take fate into their own hands and volunteer to go to a country that hates us for our government and religious beliefs. Any man or woman in our military that stands up in a hostile country like Iraq wanting to help them establish a government that may with stand scrutiny will ALWAYS have my respect!

I support our troops 100%

They are not choosing where they go, they are just following orders from the people we elected.

I hope they can get the job done without gettng hurt or hurting many people. But the job is important! There are mean people in the world and (collectively) we are not them!
