Not knowing what religion you are talking about I will try to answer your question in a general way.
It sounds like your Church has told you you cannot get married to a person of a different religion.
Some religions do restrict marriages by their followers to persons in other religions but generally the restriction is something like, if they get married it will be in their own church and it might also require the other person converts to your religion.
And sometimes a specific priest, minister, rabbi or whatever the church person's religion is goes past the actual meaning of the churches marriage restriction and applies a stricter interpretation.
Because you haven't given all the particulars, I will make a general suggestion.
That is, go to a church of your denomination in another city or village and talk to the minister or priest there.
You may get a different answer from a different individual.

God does not prohibit us from marrying outside our own beliefs, but he says "do not be unequally yoked with another"...meaning that different beliefs can cause some tension and problems in a relationship, so make sure you're both comfortable with one another's religions...and if you love each other truly, you'll make it a great marriage, regardless. I have a friend who is a Christian that married a Jew who has Hindu parents and Mormon in-laws. They've had a wonderful marriage for 30 years. If there is a "not allowed" in a religion then it's their own rule, not God's.

It is perfectly OK to marry someone of a different religion, even an atheist. There is no rule that says you can't. Some churches frown upon it, but that is just organized religion doing it's part to try and keep the donation money flowing in their direction. (The more followers a church has the more money comes into the church). So they of course don't want to risk you converting, especially if you are a regular and high dollar donor.

God DOES NOT prohibit marrying anobody from another religion. There is only one religion of the one true God. Human created religion put so much DO's and DONT's and it's not acceptable to Gods eye.
You can even marry an aborigine or a mountain people if you want. God would love to see that..
Same sex marriage is the only one not acceptable to God.
Read the Bible..

What hogwash have people been feeding you now? You can marry whomever you want, no matter what the religion. Any religion the prohibits anyone getting married is not a very good one, You don't have to get married in that religion. Civil weddings are legal everywhere.

Well bible says in 2 Corinthians6:14:"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?and what communion hath light with darkness?"One of the reasons of divorce now days is the big difference between couples,so if you are christian you can not be married with a catholic, because you are going to have different beliefs, and are gonna fight a lot because of the differences of the doctrines. So the answer is easy be or not to be.

God's New Commandment??? Why didn't I get His memo on this? Better yet: where the Hell was I when this came from His office? Uh....nevermind that.
There's not a single thing wrong with interfaith marriage if two people of different faiths love each other. In fact, it's a clever test of the couple's parents on faith and tolerance; unfortunately, few pass....sad to say.

Where is it that people from different religions can't marry? This happens all the time. Sometimes, there are obstacles to overcome, but this is mainly when one person is very orthodox in their observance of their religion.

Well, in Christianity, it is more of a warning. God is God after all. He knows the difficulties of marriage. He also knows that differences in religion can cause added strife and pull apart a family.
