i had the same problem and i think i can help..i have listed some credit repair agencies that are free..I called the National Foundation for credit and they were extremely helpful..If you are trying to get credit I suggest you join a gym (but don't join Bally's they are a rip off) i joined Bally's and my credit score went from 520 to 600 in a few months..Also i know a car dealership that specializes in helping people get cars so that they can reestablish credit but I don't know where u live..if u have any questions feel free to contact me...peace

if you have accounts in collections you can try talking them into cutting you a deal. For instance, if you owe 10,000 to a creditor and they're bugging you to pay up, you can tell them that you can give them something like $2,000 right now and call it even but that's it. You got child support, other issues etc. and if they don't take your $2000 now they'll never get it. Instead of hassling you they sometimes take it. The reason is these companies buy the accounts from credit companies such as visa, mastercard etc. for dirt cheap. They are insured so they get paid regardless. The collections agencies make pure profit off people like you, so even if you pay the a fraction of the debt they still make money. Give it a shot.

You are right on the money track. These days, you can buy a home with zero down. Yes, it's true. I did it myself last year. A house will definately clean your credit. With me buying a home, I was able to pay off my debt. It's a great investment for yourself, family, and for the future. I will warn you that the first year will be rough, but your lifestyle will change and adjust. Get a home. You'll won't regret it. Good luck.

I wish someone would anser this question. My husband is in the same situation right now-but he is currently catching up on back child cupport payments. Since he has been paying on that regularly now for over a year would that make his credit look better as far as financing for a house?

The best & about the only way, is to try & pay all the creditors off. Maybe get a 3-4 hours in overtime, or 2nd part time easy job, to get extra $'s.

Pay up all the back and pay all other debt down to zero. That's how we bumped my husbands up.
