I once had a 1992 4 cyl mustang and put a flowmaster on it. When i pulled up to a mustang gt i rev-ed up my engine. Now i didnt think it sounded the same but the other guy did. So i would reccomend a flow master and if you wanna make it look like a V8 find a shop that'll give you duals that will also make more "noise" and you'll look the part too.

Don't give me wrong, I have 2.5L DOHC Mystique, and I did my with duel out *work from the SVT team*. On my the max is 2.5 inch and for the mustang you can do at less 3 inch pipes. Do not just use single if you want it sounds like GT. My sounds like Cobra, because I had 2.5 inch on the front, and toward to the back I have 3 inch and it sounds really good. trust me, if you do the max on the front and the back you just do like .5 inch bigger it will sounds really good. Let me know how it work.

It won't sound like a v-8 unless you put a v-8 motor in it. Flowmasters would still sound good on it though. 1000 dollars for that car? Hell yea. I would've snatched it up quick. Smart thinking. My v-8 is really loud with flowmasters but your car would still sound awesome. Love to see it. I would love even more to take it off your hands. I will give you 2500 for it but I know if I were you I wouldn't go for that. That car is worth about 7500 dollars. Still fast right? Another thing flowmasters aren't that high either. I paid 400 for mine. Good luck.

for a v6 use magnaflow mufflers, the v6 exhaust note is quite a bit different from a v8.I've tried flow-masters on my 2005 Honda accord ex coupe v6 and they sounded raspy and horrible! flow-masters are for v8s then my exhaust guy put on the magnaflows and it sounded so much better. more like a v8 and more seat of the pants power and about an extra 1.5 mpg. highway, a good exhaust person will work with you to get the right sound ,the one you like! he re did mine three times for no charge! just ask for there policy .

There are plenty of decent exhaust systems out there, but none of them can make a 6 sound like a V-8. It just isn't possible!

I am not sure, but I have to say last night I dreamt about mufflers and this morning I woke up exhausted.

I wouldn't recommend anything for a ford...Especially a V6.
