Don't people know that there sons are going to have hundreds of their peers with the same names?

Well i guess they like the names they picked out for their children. Some names are popular but all people in the world have the same name no matter how common or uncommon they are.
I named my child Julian and i loved the name that is why i named him that.

Because they're trendy? My older son's name is Jacob...and I believe it was the number 1 baby name in the U.S. for the last few years. I like the name because I think it's beautiful, has a nice ring to it, won't get him picked on in school, and sounds great with our last name. Jacob was actually a pretty bad guy (in the Bible). Tricked his dad on his dad's death bead by covering his arms with goat skins ("...For Esau was a hairy man...") and having his dad leave everything to him, when it was meant for his brother, Esau.
There you go...your religion for the day. :)

Connor and Logan are a hell of a lot older and better respected names than 'jolit'..

All three names you mention are historical and beautiful. Lighten up. Names go through phases; these will be popular now, others will be popular later.

I completely agreee with you. I don't like names that are popluar. It seems like people don't care that when their kids go to school they will have 5 other kids with their name.

guess some parents want a "classic" name vs. going for something totally unique.
