An inevitable result of a sexual relationship is children - no matter how careful you are! Children need stable, loving conditions for their emotional and physical development and marriage is by far the best way to achieve this. So religions which decree that sex should be within marriage are following a very logical path.
The general idea is fidelity within marriage and abstinence outside marriage. Within marriage sex is a gift from God which is great fun and helps to bond the relationship between husband and wife.
If you can live without sex then by all means do so. If you can't then marry. Sex without marriage, or even a long-term relationship, is no more than self-gratification.

yes, i guess it sure does.
in the bible it talks about sexual desires, lusts, sins.
they are all not acceptable in the eyes of god.
if u don't ever plan on getting married, that means not to fornicate or commit adultery.
that means absolutely no SEX.
can't use this as an excuse to have sex, just because you state you'll be living a single life forever.
so to answer u'r question>>>>
yes, live a sexless life.
it states that your body belongs to god, it's a holy temple.
don't defile god's temple.
it's been done b/4. it can b/done if u love god, fear god, there will be a heavy conviction in your heart, mind body & soul. so i guess u need to get married, but remember: not for the wrong reasons, if u do trust me the marriage won't work out.
god knows u'r heart & desires.

No. Do what most people do. Find a religion that suits your own needs and beliefs and for you that will be what you believe is real and have faith in it. This is one of the many reasons as to why there will never be any one true religion. There may very well be a God to rule us, but we choose how that God sees us and we see God through religion.

The Bible says that for the man that cannot resist temptation, it is better to marry. However, you should not marry just because of that, it is important that you truly love and respect that person, or else learn self control.

I agree with the answer above, 1 Corinthians 7

Thats a decision you must make. If you would like to participate in the gift of life and have sex you must be married. You must do it the rite way or not at all. Just remember you do have the choice to make decisions on your own dont feel like these things are a boundry. Just remember what God wants you to do and try to follow it the best you can.

Marriage

1 Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry.[1][[1] Or "It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman."]
2 But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.
3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.
4 The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife.
5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
6 I say this as a concession, not as a command.
7 I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.

8 Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am.
9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

when you have sex (if you do it properly) you become devoted to your partner. since you are devoted to your partner you are more likely to be critical of your pastor. religions hence see sexual love as a natural competitor.

there is also the consideration that most religions like to present themselves as a comfort in time of trouble. the surest way of ensuring that people need a religion is to make certain that they are troubled. denying people their natural right to love each other - and making sure they feel guilty when they do - creates a disturbed and vulnerable market which any religion can then 'serve'.

maxine saunder's autobiographical 'ecstatic mother' explains how her first sexual experience was part of a wiccan ceremony, and then goes on to tell us that even as an adult she now finds sex incomplete without the added spice of wiccan ritual.

amazingly mrs. saunders presents herself as privileged, rather than abused.

but then, that is how religions work.
