Whether it is a GT or V6, Mustangs are engineered to run on 87 octane. You can verify this by reading the owner's manual, and using higher octane can actually cause harm to the engine waayyy later on. If you add any kind of significant performance upgrades (such as forced induction or advanced timing), you should bump up to premium grade, depending on what you have 91 or 93 octane.

Whatever the manual says. Unleaded regular on most. Don't bother with premium unless your owner's manual calls for it specifically.

Using premium in an engine designed for regular is a waste of money at the very least and can actually cause damage to the engine over time in some cases!

I actual have an 06 gt and can want to in straightforward words use acceptable cost as a results of my music with the chilly air intake. as long as your motorcar has not been tuned? Which maximum v6's are not, you're nice to bypass with 87 or 89, the wide-spread on your section. If the gas is too low, you'll initiate listening to a pinging sound or engine knock. bypass with wide-spread.

It uses regular.

Don't bother putting premium unless the manual says it's required.

Edit: to Boom - premium is a waste of money in any engine that can't utilize the higher compression ratios that premium fuel can withstand.
