Thousand of women do, or at least they employ a doctor to do it for them. That, of course, doesn't absolve them from the responsibility of the act. The fetus may or may not be a child but it is human and capable of feeling pain and distress. It is a tragedy for a women who is raped and everyone should empathise with her but that is not sufficient reason for her to inflict a greater tragedy on her unborn child. Ignorant people who say you should not ask this question because it is wrong to judge people are confusing judging the person with judging the act. Also, we all judge all the time, it is one of the things that we humans do and it would be impossible to function in society without judging.
People who make a comparison between eating eggs and abortion are also making a mistake; an egg is an unfertilized ova not capable of further development and certainly not sentient. A fetus is sentient, the development necessary to feel pain is complete at week 26 a lot sooner than the 7 months some people claim.

What do you call an unborn child anyway? Human? Does it have cognizance? Does it have a soul? (an unborn child only receives the Kundalini energy at about 7months). Before this it is like an embryo in a chicken egg. No difference: pulsating bits of fleshy potential for life. You eat eggs right? So what's the question about. Morals/ ethics can not be applied to areas of ones life that are handy to have them applied to. Either you have them or you don't.
We kill life around us all the time. The most common being is slaughtering living beings to eat or to wear. It's about time the karmic balance was restored.

Less than 10-20% of abortions (depending on source of survey) are performed in the United States due to rape, incest, fetal deformity or problematic health conditions for the mother. The majority of abortions in the United States today are performed as a method of birth control. So that is not a good defense to use in pro-choice arguments. Even Jane Roe (Norma McCorvey) the woman who coined the landmark Roe vs. Wade decision that led to the ability for women to have the right of choice has switched sides to become a strong proponent for fetal rights. The problem in the morality of abortion itself stems from the vague definition of life itself. When does life begin, when does the fetus become a person? As far as the age argument then should the same be made for juvenile criminal offenders? Should we allow a teenager to get away with murder because he wasn’t mature enough or it would mess up his life? As the family member of a victim to a murder victim should we allow that drunk driver to go free because he didn’t mean to do it? After all it was an accident right? Our society is so quick to pass the buck denying responsibility for our own actions? Maybe it would seem more human to terminate a life that would be subjected to abject squalor due to (a) parent(s) who refuse to or cannot afford to care for them. But wouldn’t it be more humane to prevent conception to happen at all? In a society where suicide is such a taboo it amazes me how it is illegal for a woman to take her own life but not her fetuses. The choice of life and death shouldn’t be based on a feministic campaign or a person who does not want to accept the responsibility for a bad decision. As for the question who would have the heart to kill an unborn child the answer whom ever chooses to do so because they have the legal right. Is it right? Only the individual being asked can answer that. But I will leave this answer with one last thought. In the roman era there was a time when the head male figure of a family decided the fate of an infant. Infants were not considered people as soon as they were born then. If the head of the family wanted the child would be taken out into the wilderness and left to exposure. If it was so fated for the child to live someone would come along to rescue the infant. If not then the child would parish. Could you imagin adopting that ideology today? For it to be legal to just bare your child and dump it in a trash can. It seems barbaric by todays standards. It makes me wonder what the people of the future will think of our lifestyles. Will we become the monsters?

Those who are selfish and unwilling to give a another life a bit of a chance to survive.
Or some can be pushed into it against their will, or some make the decision and then regret it, it really all depends on how your emotions are controlling you at the moment...
as for me I think abortion is equal to murder, and get this
if a man murders a pregnant women he is charged with two murders but if a woman aborts it is no big deal
go figure

Who would have the heart to force an unwanted child upon a rape or incest victim?

Who would have the heart to kill a mother for the sake of a fetus (which is NOT a child)?

I don't think it's entirely fair 2 stigmatize someone who wants 2/had an abortion. Which is better, bringing an unwanted child into this world and let them fall prey 2 child neglect or passing through foster homes or not having the child?

In the cases of incest, rape, drug addiction, or certain deformity I can understand and condone abortion. I cannot condone abortion due to loose morals, or irresponsible pregnancy prevention. Men should be aware of possible consequences of not practicing safe sex as well, it is not all the woman's responsibilty - both male and female are morally and financially obligated to the care of a child conceived by choice or conceived through POOR choice.

Someone that was raped
or a 15 year old that has no way to support a child. (you may say, well she shouldn't' have been having sex in the first place, but you know what, tough, it happens)

We shouldn't pass judgment on anyone. Or, god forbid, you or one of your family members may be put in that predicament
