Hi...

I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ-20.

Every digital camera will come with a CD that contains drivers which is piece of software that lets your computer recognize your camera. It is like an ID card for your camera.

If you own Windows XP, you can just plug in your camera to your computer using the cable provided with it. Your computer will automatically detect the camera and show you a message that "new device found". Then, you can go to "MY COMPUTER" and there you will see a "Removable Drive" or something of that sort. If you open that drive, you will be able to see your photos in one of the folders. You can just copy paste them into any folder on your C or D drive wherever you prefer.

In case you do NOT have Windows XP, you will have you use the CD and INSTALL the driver. After that, you can connect your camera and it will be recognized. If you just plug in the camera without installing the driver, most probably your computer will not recognize it.

So, whatever Windows version you have, dont worry. Just plug in the camera and follow the process. Chances are that your brother has already installed the drivers so you wont have to do that. The camera will be detected automatically. If it is not detected, then follow the process to install the driver.

Hope this is useful.

Yes i have one, the camera should come with some CD to install, so the computer can recognize you camera, after that, you plug the usb cable in your computer, and then to the camera, and it should start downloading the pictures. If it doesn't then you should check the usb cable.
