Sounds for sure like you've had a bad experience! Although I think that the US government should limit churches from expanding if they become too powerful, I feel that people - even stupid people - are always going to have the right to teach their kids their own beliefs.

No. Being a U.S.A. citizen, and having the intelligence to understand my rights and government, it should never do so as this would directly contradict the Bill of Rights.

Your position is clearly one of someone who does not cherish freedom. That is far more poisonous than what you fear. That is a danger I must confront, for my daughter and my students.

Oh, I am not religious. I am also an Independent leaning heavily toward Democrat (Democrat soon).

This kind of nonsense should always be fought as it is unpatriotic (Read the Bill of Rights to see why).

Absolutely not. We're suppose to have the intelligence to choose what we wish to accept. Why should we fear something when we have free choice? If these outsiders are having more influence on your children than you are, better look into more affective ways of parenting. Usually the biggest problems people have growing up is getting past negative things that happened in their upbringing, not the outside influences. They will follow what ever role model they perceive is the best. Teach your kids to make intelligent choices for themselves.

I think that there should be a general belief system that overides, if not totally eliminates the hypocrisy spawned by the major religions of the world today.

Here's how it should go:

1. Belief in God (regardless of religious belief)
2. Pray to God (regardless of religious belief)
3. Do good because God says so (regardless of religious belief)
4. Stop harassing other people who believe in God in another way, and
5. Love one another

End of discussion.

Why do you hate America so much? Why do you want to turn it into Cuba or Iran? Do you know that my ancestors killed people like you for freedom? Do you have even the faintest idea what the Constitution of the US is says or means? I am appalled that anyone, on Independence Day would suggest such a travesty.

SHAME!

this is ************. this is even as politics and authorities commence telling us the position we may be able to spend our personal money that the monetary device is damage. If the authorities needs money, why would not it open this is personal company to deliver it in? Why rob us? as a replace why no longer supply us a product that we favor to purchase? Open up a large Disney international and fee 15.00 for beverages and sweet. Open up relax stops alongside the highways with gas and nutrition and many issues to promote to help the interstates. Why do they purely assume that our money is theirs? even as will or not this is sufficient for them? They have not stopped raising taxes and punishing fulfillment yet. Sounds good to tax the wealthy, yet all which skill is that the belongings you want to purchase is going to pass up in cost or there'll be a lot less workers that the wealthy employ. i'm fantastic with exempting all taxes and exemptions over the years. replace it with products to purchase. you do not comprehend the amenities presented by churches. The churches in our section feed the homeless and dress the needy. yet, you'll see it the way you want to no remember the position the reality is.

The U.S. government does not have the right, nor the power. I feel that do to a lot of people thinking they have that right we may one day find ourselves going underground for our religious beliefs. What makes YOU think you have the right to take away our "Freedom of religion?"

US governments and its Foundation is based on religious principles. It will never happen. Pray! Oops. Did I say that? You probably don't pray or feel that God exists. My prayers though are heard.

Sorry, that's not the government's place, and you're using language stemming strictly from a personal bias. Your straw man falls.
