like for example...if people tell you that he's a player, but you feel that with you he is the real him...and that he's really not the person that everybody thinks he is...and when you two go out together with both of your friends he still acts the way he does when he's alone with you...not the way everybody says he is.

Of coarse...guys can change. But you really need to be carefull..specially at first. See us guys are great at putting up an image of himself...this person is going to be the guy that brings you to your knees...sends you head over heals for him. He's going to be the perfect guy in your eyes...but often this doesn't last long. have you ever heard the term of "the honeymoon being over" eventually the newness will wear off. So I would recommend not letting yourself get to attached right away...enjoy it for it what it is...but know that he might not have the right intentions. If this is the case...use this a learning experience...see i firmly believe that we are to meet a few of the wrong people so when we meet the right one we will know how to be greatful. I'm not saying to not enjoy your time with him...because who knows he may change...but given his track record you really need to show some caution...always be thinking what i stated above...and don't throw all your cookies in one basket...so you don't get left cookieless (sorry for the bad ananlogy) and for mah bad spelling...but I think you get the point.

As much as we would like to believe that we could help a person change or a person could change for us it very rarely happens so I wish you the best of luck do not harm yourself waiting around know when to leave if he hasn't change

Be patient and just see what happens.
No rush, right?
If he doesn't, then dump him.
I figure if he is the same after a year, then he could probably stay that way.
Write down a few things to remember to look for and see if they change every few months.

yes, a guy can change for someone he really likes. but if he makes that change for that someone, most likely the changes he makes will be temporary.
