Pay the ticket. The officer possibly saved your life or the life of others by giving you the ticket. Maybe now you'll keep it turned down and you'll hear the horn of the car that's about to hit you or the squeal of a child chasing his ball into the street in front of you. Use some common sense. You can't hear what's going on around you with your music that loud. And just because you want to hear it doesn't mean everyone else does.

Here's the thing. If you decide to fight it and you show up in court and the officer who gave you the ticket isn't there, it will automatically get dismissed. Maybe the officer won't want to come, or get called on another job. Worth a try!

No. There is a reason those laws have been enacted. If the cop says it was too loud then it obviously was. I don’t really care to listen to whatever it is you happen to be listening to at the time. If I want to hear it, I’ll buy the CD.

Count yourself lucky. Some states will impound your vehicle and seize your stereo equipment.

I would go into court and pretend that i'm deaf. When the judge asks you how you plead, just say Huh??? Write out your explanation and include that the music has to be turned up really loud for you to feel the vibrations and enjoy it.

now and again. It somewhat relies upon on what mood i'm in and what music i'm listening to. If i'm listening to something like Disturbed or Slipknot, for sure i want the volume grew to change into up somewhat louder than to even if i became listening to something like Shulman or Amethystium.

Was this music at your house or in your car.....you probably violated the noise ordinance....best of luck...don't think you'll win though...if you fight it....more court costs.
