I'm asking only about any prevailing trend you may have observed in either group. Save your PC "Don't generalize" nonsense for Oprah et al.

Read this too;

Look at the last paragraph and consider K12 education systems around the world. Are students often assessed on their ability to question the factual accuracy of what they are taught?

Not vague. I'm asking you to compare all Atheists as a group with all Christians as a group and identify which group demonstates a greater prevalence of a very specific behaviour, namely, rejection/censorship/offhand dismissal of observations that are contrary to their views. The answer is one, the other or equality. It doesn't get much simpler than that.

indoctrinate from Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary;

1 : to instruct especially in fundamentals or rudiments : TEACH
2 : to imbue with a usually partisan or sectarian opinion, point of view, or principle

Will you now claim that most Atheists aren't partisan?

Every atheist I know has read the entire Bible, giving Christianity a real chance. I don't think Christians really respect Atheism in the same way, at least based on my experience.

I think it would be logical to categorize what kind of indoctrination it is. Obviously, atheists don't attempt to read Bibles in order to fully understand to finally accept it but purposely in order to acquire knowledge not for themselves but in preparation for situations like this when confronting christian faith and beliefs. In order to truly understand the Bible, one has to realize that it takes humility and faith but most of all the guidance of the Holy spirit in order to fully comprehend the overall message of the Holy Book. So, no matter how strong the argument gets, it always boils down to logic and reason as the primary tool in order to attack the Christian faith. That is what being emphasized by Jesus himself that the truth has been kept from the learned and the wise because, though not all, most of these people have conceit inside their hearts rather than humility. But without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, arguments can go on all day and all night but will never attain anything because it would be difficult to correlate two different points of view. Surely, it will only invite unresolved dispute. So, i think the best way to attain a good relationships on both side of the fence, is to let each other be.

Atheists have no teachings or instructions that they have to adhere to. Atheists are not a riged group that cares who or how many there is. They are just people that do not have a belief in a diety.

Perhaps you should have been more specfic like, "Are Atheistic Humanists more indoctrinated than Christians?" If that was the question I would say the Humanists are. Heck they have 2 manifestos.

I am not being PC you are being to vague.

"Indoctrinated"? Do you mean most dogmatic?

Consider this. There is an Evangelical Christian in the White House. Evangelical Christians voted for him. Ask yourself these questions: When was the last time you saw an atheist in the White House? When do you expect an Atheist to be in the White House?

This is not answering your question however, I find it very interesting how many none believers there are in this section! It is stated that God puts the knowledge of a God in everyones mind so that they will seek the truth! Do we have some future believers in the audience this evening?!?!?! Perhaps seeking the truth? That would be awesome..similar to the scientest Hugh Ross who was originally out to prove Evolution and came to a conclusion of God/Creation!!!

You have questions and you need to answer them with an open mind!!!!

To be indoctrinated suggests that there is a doctrine. Atheists have no doctrine, so they are not indoctrinated.
If you're suggesting that atheists are more fervent in their beliefs, you may be right, but it depends on who you talk to, everyone is different. I know religious folks who are very subtle and quiet about it, just as I know loud preachy religious folk. The same goes for atheists.
I am an ateist and I'm pretty quiet about it. I don't push my beliefs onto anyone, just as I expect no one to push theirs onto me.

I believe there are way too many kinds of doctrines within the many denominations of Christianity to give a specific reply and I wasn't aware Atheists had any.

well i dont know...i suppose once can see the comarison of bennyw hinn and richard dawkins...i think the religious are the agressors while us atheists are the responders.

look at the news. christians want creationism taught in schools...then atheists chime in....then again atheists want "under god" removed form the pledge and off the money (in god we trust) so i suppose theyre equal

equal...but the christians tend to start it. chritians act...we respond.
