You could be, but being depressed is different than having depression. Depression is a much longer feeling of sadness and hopelessness. Goes with being suicidal and just feeling like you're worth crap all the time and just not seeing how your life could get any better.
You might be depressed...I'm not sure. I mean back a few years ago (and sometimes still) I have all of that plus more. Just stick it out for a little longer and if it doesn't go away, then I'd say you are. I wish you luck though, and if you are, don't wait to long to do something about, okay? It'll only get worse.

Generally, signs of depression include the following: wanting to sleep all the time, not being able to stay happy, wanting to eat all the time, or not wanting to eat at all, losing interest in things that you usually enjoy, not caring about your appearance, and feeling like you have no energy to do anything.

Only if it's persistent feelings of despondency, worthlessness, hopelessness, and is interfering with day-to-day activities like concentrating or having fun. It's normal not to feel 100%, but it's only depression if it's been going on for a long time and is interfering with your daily activities.

Yes you are most likely depressed, do you have trouble getting to sleep or do you sleep too much? Those are also signs, but especially when you feel sad and theres nothing to really feel bad about its depression. Ive been up that mountain before...you should try talking to someone (anyone) about it.

There is the daily depression... having a bad day or week. True depression sinks into you. The biggest keyword to answering that question .. is whether you feel like it's hopeless.

Nah, it sounds like you just miss the excitement and entertainment when you aren't with your friends. When you are with them, you can relax and your stress leaves you for a minute. It's normal.
Just find a hobby or something to do to entertain you when you aren't with your friends. Take up guitar lessons or try out for a soccer team.
