The "official" Catholic Mass is written in Latin.

This Mass is translated into every language in the world so people can celebrate Mass in their own language.

Something is lost in all translations, even the Bible. This is one reason why there are so many versions of the Bible.

This problem also happened when the Mass was translated into English.

The Church is trying to agree on a better (but still not perfect) translation of the Mass.

Not everyone will be happy with any translation and some will be upset with any change at all.

Let us pray for the Church and all its members.

With love in Christ.

Because of the illusion stated in the Holy Bible, that the sun goes around the Earth. Someone must explain this illusion that the human eyes are deceivers on our minds.
As a smaller star looks greater. Does that have something to do with the Chatholic liturgy of today!

Are you talking about the proposed new Mass translations? If that is the question it is simply because the current translation of the Mass in not correct in places. The new translations will bring the English into line with the Latin. As a note: Pope Benedict is supposedly working on new directives involving the current form of the Mass, so there could be more developments in the next few months.

I am Catholic and I believe that we are reviving traditions and customs so many of us born after Vatican 2 have missed out on. I feel that the new Liturgy brings us closer to the old.

Stupidity. Ignorance.

What they have decided doesn't make SENSE.

They should leave it ALONE. It is FINE the way it is.

If it's not broke, don't fix it!
