i dont know but my mom wont let me date yet either andi am 14 also..

Hey, I've been there. The more you try to convince her, the more she'll believe you really are immature about this. Also, are you concerned about "dating" or about a certain individual you want to date?
prove to her you are mature. But if you want my opinion, you should wait until you're 16 or better. I know, I dated the first guy who ever asked me out, and i didn't turn 16 for another month (Mom's rule was no dating until your 16) and I just never told her.
That relationship was one of my worst ever mistakes, so please just wait patiently and if someone really, really cares he'll be willing to wait.
if you want to date just because, then that IS immature and you shouldn't be. Dating earlier puts more tension and sexual pressure on your relationships, and that can lead you to places you won't want to be.

When you asked her, what did she say? My friend is 14 and she went on a date about a year ago. Now she has to wait until she is 16 because the guy that she likes is not allowed to date until he is 16. Do you have any older siblings. my friends "boyfriend" isn't allowed to date until 16 because his older brother didn't start dating until then. If all else fails try to prove to your mother that you are responsible enough to date. Ask her why she won't let you date, and try to make her feel that the opposite is true! Always,

Maybe she doesn't see you as being mature enough to date, she could also just be trying to protect you from all the drama that comes along with 14 year olds 'dating'.Dating this young only leads to premature promiscuity.There could be lots of possibilities to this question.

are you crazy your just a baby, What kind of people that you think that are out there. Your not ready to date. You can date when you have you own car. That is what I would tell my 14 year old. So go to bed. and be a kid.

It's your Mom so you have to respect the fact that she knows best what is right for you! She loves and cares for you so just remember that and be patient.

same here.. im 14 also and my mom wont let me date either..my moms just overprotective perhaps ur moms the same way..
