In WMP 11:

- Will it play DVDs automatically, do I need to install CyberDVD player. I dont have a DVD to test but I have a DVD drive, so I want to make sure whether I need to install CyberDVD player software apart from WMP 11

- What about Ogg Vorbis files, will WMP 11 play Ogg Vorbis files, does anybody have a sample Ogg Vorbis file to test?

- Will WMP 11 play DivX files, do I need DivX player different from WMP 11.

- I know there is some software that lists all the available audio/video codecs in the system, is there a test program that tests WMP 11 that it has all the codecs installed for the most popular file formats (VCD,DVD,Mp3,Mp4,DivX) etc. and give it "certified it will work"?

Well, WMP 11, is just WMP 10 core with some new stuff added in. I wish I didn't update. WMP11 is CRAP.

There are several reasons why you might not be able to use the Player to play a DVD. The following are the most common reasons.

• A compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer. For information about DVD decoders, including how to obtain one, see DVD Decoder Plug-ins.

• A DVD drive is not installed in your computer. (Most DVD drives have a DVD logo printed or embossed on the front of the drive.)

• Windows XP is not installed on your computer.

• Windows Media Player 9 Series or later is not installed on your computer.

It requires Windows XP SP2

Your software is already installed in the computer if you have a DVD/R (reads cd's and dvd's. If you have DVD/RW then you can burn cd's and dvd's. No other software needed for that.

Go to Microsoft Windows downloads for the codecs.

well, you don't need to install Cyber DVD, because Windows Media Player 11 does it all. (DVD, VCD, CD)
Windows Media Player 11 requires Operating System XP2.
