Genisis says that God gave Man dominion over all the birds in the air, the fish in the sea, and cattle. So many Christians beleive eating animals is exactly what we are supposed to do. However, American's are ruining the Earth with their eating habits, choosing to accept the cruel conditions that animals must endure, and letting about 5 species consume the majority of our diet. This practice hurts the Earth. I think that any God would appreciate those who choose a diet that respects the Earth we are given.

No. He may bless you for not killing one simply for the sport of it, but if used for food, I believe many were put here for that purpose. Not only for man, but other creatures. I have never seen any indication in the Bible that eating meat or killing an animal for it's meat is wrong. I believe there are may other ways we mistreated and mismanaged other life on this planet, but using them for food is not one of them. I believe it's wrong to threaten a species simply because people happen to like it, when there are other food sources available. Many other cultures consider different types of animal life as food sources, so I don't want to be judgmental about that, but they should respect the taking of any species so as not to threaten extinction.

PS..I don't agree it's wrong or an insult to God if one chooses not to eat meat. That's a personal choice.

I believe God gave us sufficient variety of foods for our lives. Animals are not the only thing we should eat. I believe that if we eat meat excessively, God will allow us to have poorer health. Consider that as a guideline.

No. Humans are supposed to eat animals- it is the best food source we have. We are omnivorous and animals provide the majority of protein, that we have evolved to depend on to do daily tasks- like hunt more animals. God doesn't care if we eat them for sustinance. Maybe he minds if we kill for sport but no one gets a bonus for avoiding meat.

The Gods have always demanded animal sacrifices and for us to hold feasts to honor them so I don't think they'll bestow their blessing upon us for NOT eating them. Besides, sacrificing tomatoes and having salad feasts are not proper ways to honor the Gods. If anything it's downright offensive.

1: the Bible says nothing against eating animals.
2:why would God say not to eat animals if they taste so stinking good??!

No

And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

NO.... God gave us animals for food, and for that purpose alone. Read Genesis. It talks about giving us livestock for food, and all the creatures in the sea to do with what we want. He even let Adam name them, because they were his. God WANTED us to eat animals, so no.... there's no way he just changed his mind now.
