Now that's a loaded question! The core of the problem we face is the need to produce energy without certain pollutants as by-products. Chemists, engineers, and physicists would be key to determining real solutions for creating energy without having much of an impact on the environment. There are various branches within those disciplines which are more suited towards developing needed process, technologies, and other things that can help create clean or semi-clean energy.
