Maybe you should talk to the doc about a sleeping pill that will help you stay asleep through the entire night.

You need a routine. Sleep patterns can be manipulated. You should try to get 7 - 8 hours of uninterupted sleep. I would suggest that you go to bed at 9. If you wake up during the wee hours of the night, try to stay in bed and do something relaxing. Read a book, or meditate, count sheep or try mentally relaxing your body starting with your toes and then going all the way to your forehead. Set an alarm and GET UP no later than 7:00 AM that means not hitting the snooze button. Then you have got to keep yourself up until 9:00 PM the next night. NO NAPPING! You also need to address your caffine intake, and the state of your bedroom. Get rid of any televisions, and clutter. Your bedroom should be a sanctuary used only for sleep and sex. It is not a utility room or an office. You need discipline! Good luck

The safest way to get a good nights sleep is by taking one
3 mg. tablet of Melatonin. It is great for "jet lag" and it increases
the quality of your sleep. Do not sleep with any lights on, this
stops the Melatonin from working. As we get older, we have less and less of this in our bodies. Babies and cats have a lot that is
why they sleep so much. Check out Melatonin and read about
all the wonderful things it can do for you. It is cheap about $5 for
60 and people that work the night shift like I did for 20 years,
need it the most.

your not on a regular schedule where you get up early in the morning and stay up all day and go to bed around 9=10 pm and sleep all through the night. not working, going to school etc. will screw up your normal sleep habits. you don't need meds, just get back on a routine and your body will straighten out the rest for you.

Talk to the army drill seargent to let you get some more sleep. I had that happen when I would change working shifts from days to mids to nights. get to bed at the same time each day and do not sleep more than 7 or 8 hrs.

You are probably oversleeping. You should set a time to go to sleep and a time to get up and stick with that. 7 hours a night is good for me. If I get anymore or any less I wake up tired. Find out how much you need and only sleep that much.

You need something that will help you stay asleep. I wanted to try ambien but before my Md will let me try it he wanted me to try melatonin. I am not a OTC health drug nut but decided to try it. It worked. The melatonin pill I tried was from GNC. It is a sub-lingual (under the tongue pill) that dissolves. It should be taken a couple of hours prior to bed. Give it a try!

You are blessed that you can sleep late once in a while.
There are many reasons causing this problem. Go see your doctor and tell him your symptoms. If he does not want to mess with your problem, keep searching until you find one who will listen and help you.
