I want to be a principal or run a Christian School. Can anyone tell me what it is like being in the Christian School environment...should I stay in public school- it is a mission field in itself? I want to help students find their callings and help them make a difference in the world. Any insight on these matters would be greatly appreciated.

This school would be non-denominational. I have a wife and kid that I want to support, but I just don't know if a private school salary will cover that...I do know the Lord will provide all of my needs, though.

Um...hello...I said Math teacher...not science....don't even talk about science in my math classes. Trust me...if I was a science teacher, I wouldn't be in the public education being forced to teach the evolutionary deception...but that is for another night and another debate.

yeah, that sounds like a great idea for someone like you. I don't think a Christian school is so much a "training camp," just a school that has a Christian perspective in its subjects. Thus, you are allowed to discuss Creation in Science, the Bible in History, and finding students' personal callings. Christian schools give you the opportunity to teach students without worrying about getting sued for talking about God.
Christian schools need more teachers like you that truly enjoy teaching & helping kids.

My calling is just to be a bible student, study, reading and doing the math as each bible person has a birth and a death year, and the bible has a bible time line that if it did not have it, I would not read the book.
So many say it is incorrect, I do not see that it could possibly be incorrect.
6,130 years after Eden, for man in sin to be fruitful and multiply and die filling the earth as Satan a liar and a murderer John 8:44; is cause but as the anointed cherub over Eden he has the right to have a time limit in that he cause all to be LOST, but it is near time for all he caused lost, to be SAVED,by Jesus Rev,20:1-6[1000 year reign];
Matt.24:3,7,14,15,22,36-39[ Only God knows the day and the hour that 6,130 years after Eden is up, and it could be cut short]; but the world with Jesus will never end. Eph.3:21;
1Cor.15:22-28; When all is done the kingdom is turned over to God that he may be all and all. Matt.22:37-40; As the first and great commandment, and the Lord's prayer Matt.6:9-13; There is a new heavens and a new earth 2 Per.3:13; Saved is Saved.
So I am puting a lot of study in my calling and I love it.
Hope you have success with yours. Both fields are in need.

Please don't tell Christians youth the same crap that God has a special plan or calling for them. Do you know what ends up happening? They end up dropping out of college to go on a missions trip. They should get a college degrege FIRST or a trade and THEN and only then be allowed to be influenced by the likes of a Christian teacher.
Just my two bits, but Christians young people need to be taught that going to work and punching the clock and taking care of a family is God's calling too.

Why do you think that you would be qualified to be the principal of a school? God doesn't usually start people out at the top. His usual modus operandi is to humble people and let them prove themselves to be faithful with a little before He gives them much.
If He is calling you to a Christian school then look for confirmation as you pray about it. God uses Christians in all areas of society, so you may be right where He wants you.

I went to Catholic School for part of school and public for the rest. I think I enjoyed public school alot more. Theres more diversity, more funding for more things.(Around here private schools are primarily funded by the parents tuition) By the time I got to public school I felt that I was behind in most subjects. Alot of the day is focused on the teaching of God. I remember being in 1st Grade and having to write the 'Our Father' 8 or 9 times because it had to be perfect and I kept putting ARE Father. I'll never forget that. I hated private school, if anything THANK GOD that I got out of it. My Aunt is a teacher at a private school though and loves it and if you feel that it's your calling then go for it

I say GO FOR IT! If you find that your calling is to work for a Christian school and to make a difference there, why not?
What type of Christian school? Is there a specific denomination?

it really is fantastic for you, an eighth grader, as a lot as now a seventh grade lady. Your age large difference (a remember of months at maximum) isn't so large that it would develop any pink flags. besides the undeniable fact that, at your age, courting could contain going out in communities of acquaintances and spending time jointly contained in the corporate of your household. in spite of in case you do not opt to hearken to it, i am going to assert it. it isn't in both of your brilliant interest to change into too unique with one yet another at any such gentle age. courting is the way we chosen a mate for existence, and also you do a much better job at that in case you comprehend a great number of diverse human beings, and do not flow too quick too quickly.

They say the pay is less than the public schools, and there is less health insurance/retirement benefits, but the kids are much better behaved.
