personally, i think that any relationship will not stand on lies, doubt, and secrecy. being genuine, saves one from all the guilt trips that are mind numbing. i am single, so won't completely be able throw light on how or what leads to circumstances that forces people (men and women) to actually seek relationships outside marriage. perhaps we has humans, by nature, have preconceived notions and expectations from one another and when we fail to get what we expect, we seek sources of gratification- be it physical, emotional, mental or for that matter financial. whatever, telling the girl directly about any thing previously hidden to avoid any misunderstandings later on is the best way. chances are the person may loose the girl and the spouse for good, if they are both kept in darkness about each other.

invite your wife over to the place you share with your girlfriend. (That is, if you two are still talking) that way, you can piss of both women with one conversation, and when they both leave, you will have a quiet place to live ALONE!!
