My bf and I travel internationally a lot, and we often use our miles to upgrade to business (cause I sure couldn't afford a $3k ticket). I don't like to fly and take my xanax and sleep in the comfy seats that lay flat. He prefers to stay awake and enjoy the amenities (champagne, multi-course meal, after dinner drinks, tv, etc). What do you prefer and why?

How long is the flight? Do both. Trust me, sleepy or not sleepy, you will not be able to avoid the fresh baked cookies, the slippers, the champagne, the leg rests. You will be enjoying things without even realizing it. Also, no waiting for the lavoratories! Have a great time.

I like to stay awake through almost every flight I've ever taken. Especially the first class ones. The stewardesses are nicer, there aren't little kids with sticky grape jelly hands, and in general there is a much nicer atmosphere. Who could sleep through that?

Well, depends on how long the flight is and how badly I'll be jet lagged later.
If I really want some sleep, I just inform the stewardess to wake me for the meals so that way I still get something to eat.

I've not flown business class but once, but even when I fly economy class I stay awake because I find flying fun for some reason.

i prefer to stay awake. i have only flown coach like 3 times when i was little and now i always fly first class because i have so many miles. i like staying awake in first class because you get nice things and they treat you nicer most of the time.

I like to stay up at least till dinner then I will drift off to sleep. I figure if I am full and I've had the opportunity to get some drinks, I am good to go.

It really depends what time the flight is..if its a daytime flight I susally stay awake..evening if I don't get some sleep when the plane lands I feel awful....
For me it also sepends on the airlines.. some airlines are nicer than others..just depends..

well i have never been able to sleep on an airplane i dont know why i flew from atlanta to london in business class and could not fall asleep and have flown maney other places and couldnt fall asleep so i do just use the ammenities
