These people are wrong...You should Never or VERY rarely brush your tongue. It wears away the tastebuds on your tongue making foods taste bland. If you do it frequently you will feel the need to always add something to your food that has an enormous amount of flavor that you would never eat it by itself. i.e ketchup, ranch dressing, salt
While although it may make your breath stay a bit fresher for an hour or two your hurting your tongues tastebuds

Of course you should brush your tongue. The tongue is where all the bacteria is. Did you ever wonder why some people have such BAD breath, they forgot to brush there tongue. All the bacteria and plaque is trapped there. It would even be good to brush inside your cheeks and under your gum line. I hate having to talk to people with bad breath.

Yes, lately they (dentists and mouth hygienists) keep telling us to brush the tongue too. Apparently there are a lot of bacteria on the tongue that can make your odor smelly. There are special tongue brushes for sale.
Personally I think its just another way to make money....

Yes, always brush your tongue and the roof of your mouth. This decreases breath odor and assists in fighting sources of multiple bacteria that reside in your mouth. You should also change your toothbrush at least every 3 months, and try to brush or rinse after every meal.
