no, not the same as blood.
Mostly amino acids
The only similarity to blood is that it has a cellular part and a non-cellular part.
Mammalian semen is a whitish, milky fluid, very viscous, containing water and small amounts of salt, vitamin D, protein, and fructose. The plasma portion of semen may contain dissolved water- and fat-soluble constituents, depending on the diet of the organism in question.
And, YES, it's ok to swallow. But, like beer, it has an acquired taste that takes a bit to get used to.

Blood & sperm r 2 different things.Is it true that DNA in blood & sperm both contains hereditory information.Blood is for storing the energy which u got from food & sperm is for reproduction purpose to fertile the egg of the women womb.The purose of blood & sperm r different.
