what is the condition called and how much is the surgery?

i have owned 23 great danes thank you. this resque from katrina is the first one i have ever gotten, with this condition b/c i research the breeders i buy from. dont be so judge mental.

I don't remember what it's called, but several breeds have this as a normal problem.

We just had it fixed on a one-year old bull mastiff, but he had a hernia fixed and his neutering done at the same time, and the total cost came to about 200 dollars.

So it doesn't cost much to repair. It didn't seem to bother him at all afterwards, and the stitches dissolved in just a couple of days. A very simple process.

Absolutely. It's a breed defect. Researching the breed beforehand would have told you about this possibility.

yes..a lot of mastiffs and wrinkley dogs need it. like the Neapolitan mastiff
