You noticed they say that too. Well, elders run out of things to say plus times have really changed since then, so I've heard.

Because when you get to a certain age, you run out of original material, and, by God, you start prattling exactly what YOUR parents said.
And so middle-aged and elderly people barf out, "oh, those kids these days, you can never tell about them! They are so irrespondible! Why, when I was there age I worked 18 hours a day, helped my parents and my farts smelled like lilacs!..."
It's a tape recording of lecutres THEY had to listen to and pretend to respect decades ago. By cracky.

Because we relax the rules just slightly more today than we did yesterday and then look back in 30 years to say "What have we done?" You can trace it back to the dawn of civilization and see the progression (Or should I say "regression) in every generation and culture.... It's not new today and won't be new tomorrow!

Oh, knowing some parents they mean everyone but their babies. *rolls eyes*
every generation says their was better then the last, just like every generation blames the one before for screwing things up. Things never really change.
