Lasik, etc. Also, if not, do you know why they don't allow for this?

Lasik no, but PRK yes. In the Lasik procedure a flap is cut around the eye and that flap has a tendency to not heal fully and may become dislodged in flight due to pressure changes. PRK recontours the surface of the eye itself. that is what the military is doing for the pilots i have talked to.
