Sounds like you don't really want a dog. Dogs require care and training and exercise and grooming. If you're not up for that, why don't you find her a good home and get your life back. You and the dog will both be better off.

Some dogs just shed. Welcome to the wonderful world of dog shedding!
There is no way to completely stop your Pet from shedding, but you can do things to reduce the amount of hair.
Dogs can shed more when they get excited, nervous, or hot. Sometimes they shed more if they are on a poor diet.
Check your food and make sure you have your baby on a high quality food diet.
Brushing daily will help wonders with the hair. Some people think of clipping Pets to reduce shedding but it doesn't reduce shedding.
If you clipped the Pet, they still shed, they just shed short little shaved hairs.
Hope this helps!

You can't stop a dog from shedding it's a natural thing. If you didn't want a dog that shed you shouldn't have gotten a breed that sheds. To me it sounds as if you really don't want this dog...you should have thought about that in the beginning...the only help that I can give you is to suggest the animal shelter for the poor dog and that you maybe buy a fish.

it sounds like you have got your hands full. i agree with the answer of going to the vet and talking with him/her. they are some of the most knowledgeable people. you may also want to talk to a groomer about how to keep the dogs hair healthy and its skin also. as far as the timidness goes, you will need to work slowing and patiently with her to works through that. i would not suggest harsh discipline of any sort but loving hands and good nature. try finding a socialization or obedience class you can get involved in. this will let her know that she can trust you and the situations you put her in. hope this information helps! i attached a website that has helped me before. maybe you can fing more info here

i found that my dog was shedding too much so i ask a vet and we did a skin scraping and found a rash we did not see at first. now she is on an antibiotic and hopefully will stop the rash and shedding. also i heard high quality food helps a lot. we found lamb and rice by NUTRO is amazing. it has linolaic acid in it that promotes shiny hair and healthy skin. good luck. :)

Talk to your vet to see if she is shedding excessively for her breed. If so he may be able to give her some meds to slow it down.
As far as her timidity goes, just give her lots of love and tell her how good she is using your "pleased-with-her" voice. She will either gain confidence and lose the timidity with your encouragement as she gets older, or not.

Brush them regularly, put them on a good diet. Poor nutrition can lead to excess shedding.

brush him/her everyday to remove loose hair. they really shed in the summer to be cooler. There are also certain food and virtamins that are good for their coat. ask your vet.Do not shave the hair off, it protects the skin.
