People say main way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume.

I excercise at 5:00pm, and burn off everything i consumed from when i woke up to that time...So what about when I eat dinner? Do those calories go under the next day?

I don;t think the body works that way. Its easier for us to calculate daily intake, but you can also calculate on a weekly basis how much you've eaten minus how much you've expended through exercise. If you do it on a weekly basis, you'll see why trainers often allow their clients to take a few days "off"on a regular basis---so you can indulge yourself one day a week, for example, without it upsetting your entire regimen. Its actually healthier to do it that way--building in some indulgence--it gives your mind and body a better shot at keeping up this routine of consistent exercise and monitored food intake over the long run, plus by varying your exercise and food intake, your body will be continually on high alert, as opposed to getting used to/lowering metabolism and then slower to show results.
