Have your universal remote scan for the correct signals to send to the tv. Check the RCA website for details, or maybe go to a local store like Walmart and look on the back of the remotes there for instructions on how to program the remote.

Look them up online and send the tech people a email with the model you bought the store and anything else that may seem pertinent to get the correct code.

Same thing happened to me; if you buy a universal remote, it gives codes to reprogram depending on the type of TV.

A gift someone gave me that I never use. I can't ever throw it away because no one else has ever given me a gift. Some day my tale will be told. All those who made me out to be a monster will be put on the spot and questioned unto shame.
