It's very, very simple. If you really do love her she'll know that you do. If you feel that you have to use flowers or verbalize it or something else then you don't really love her. None of these things are or indicate real love.
I was with a woman a while back and she would so often get upset with me because I didn't do things like give her flowers or hold the door open for her. I didn't do things that she thought a man should do. Nor did I ever do any of these things even after she expressed her disapproval, quite harshly sometimes. These just weren't things I did. Doing them only for the sake of appeasing her didn't seem right either.
We split up after two years mainly because I felt so bad all the time. As I see it it's not that I perceived I wasn't loved so I decided to feel bad, I really wasn't loved so I had no choice but to feel bad. It couldn't have been possible for me to love her either otherwise I wouldn't have felt as I did. So maybe it was just a maturity issue on both our parts.
However , two years after we split we started seeing each other again as friends. Seldom at first but within a year's time quite frequently. Now we're at the point where she'll come to me for advice all the time and tell me pretty much anything without any hesitation which she wouldn't do at all before. I think we do love each other now. It became possible for her once she dropped all the expectations of what a man should do for her. There is none of that lovey, dovey stuff going on, but I can say love is there because I'm comfortable with her, I expect nothing. And I'm never afraid to give of myself which doesn't mean giving gifts money, flowers or what have you.
I'm still not going to marry her because :a- I believe marriage also has nothing to do with love and isn't even necessary for a man and woman to share a life together. In fact I think The psychological self-limitation of marriage on one's personal freedom's is a big contributing factor to why so many marriages turn sour as they do. and b- Our lifestyles are totally not compatible. We both absolutely agree on this. She strives for a home, I strive to be nomadic and free.
The ironic thing about all this hot air is that you'll most likely either not do any of it even though you may agree or think it's hogwash, complete hogwash. Nothing against you. It's just that experience is the only real teacher in life lessons. Words are just words. Maybe words recalled after lessons might help though.

Say you know I really enjoy you as a person or something like that use your own hip lingo. Never tell a girl directly that you like her or worse LOVE her before hooking up. Girls don't like a weak man. Never give the power to her by telling her you love her to early. If you are a real man which I know you are you should just hook it up with her and go from there. Don't directly tell her remember bad!!
The reason for telling her you love her or like her to early is you take away a special attraction that both of you feel towards eachother a special kind of akwardness that makes **** worth while have this akwardness and go with it

u said that u prefer indirect. so the best way i think is write all ur feelings on a paper and give it 2 her by your hands only. dont give the job 2 anybody else, ok? and lastly, also mention on the letter that "plz dont mind if u dont love me. i have said what my heart fells about u. but if u dont feel the same then i'm sorry."
now if u really love that girl and if she rejects u (god never do that) dont force her. and try to 4get about her...

Well spend time with her, and it wouldn't hurt for you to tell her. Girls want you to fall in love with them, it makes them feel secure and feel that they have someone. Be passionate and show it.

send her flowers with a card telling your true feeling about her and make sure you tell her all your feelings don't leave any out!
