people learn to be smart but a talent is something from within something most people are born with but a talent can be smartness

well being smart and being talented are similar in the sense that they both can come naturally to a person...they are different in the sense that some people have to work hard to become "smart"...it just comes easier to people to learn things...talent is something you're born with and something that comes from within.

'smart' is a state of being
'talent' is an attribute
I think what you meant was "What is the differnce between smart and talented?"
You can be talented without being smart,
But if you are smart you already have a talent.
