I guess it's a mind of matter thing. The thicker they are, the more they absorb, the less likely of an ambarrassing event.

I wondered the same thing. I figured they must assume that thicker is more absorbent. I can't imagine any other reason for walking around with a mattress-type pad between your legs instead of one of those ultra-thin ones.

One may feeling more secured and better using thick pads..

thats a good question. maybe they think that the thin ones will protect as much. but, i prefer the thin ones...
