My g/f asked this question:
Question:
I am 16, I am not sexually active. i excersize daily, and eat healthy.I have been having extreme pain w/ my period. I have had it for like 2 yrs. Every time I get it, I get sick, feel like I am gonna puke unbarable back pain, "curl up in a ball" stomach pain. Whenever I get it I am out of school for the whole thing and am in bed unable to keep anything- the only thing that doesnt make me puke is water. The pain meds the doc gave me r not working, and the past 2-3 times I have had my period, I passed out a few times from the pain. Any advice will help!

OKAY I want to know how I can comfort her during her period? How can I make her feel better? if u know pls give me advice on how to comfort her!
Joe

Every woman is different, some feel extreme pain such as yourself and some have none to minimal. Not everyone can take the same pain medication and get the same result. Maybe this one is not for you. You can ask your doctor for a new medicine, but I have found that 4 advils usually does the trick. If advil is not for you try something else like tylenol. But do ask your doctor for the best advice. Anyway this will not last long. Your body is constantly changing and so are your hormones. The pain will subside along the way. Good Luck!!

She may need to go on birth control because the hormones in it may help regulate it and keep it at bay. You can make sure that she is comfortable, bring her chocolate, say really sweet things, let her know you love her, get her a heating pad to hold onto her belly, it helps for me.

You're such a sweet boyfriend. She's a lucky girl.
