we agreed because she was separated from her husband she had a job so we said yes. This week her husband said they are getting back together so she picked up the kids without notice. My mother asked if she could keep them longer and my neice replied "NO SHE'S TO OLD" What do you think about a person like that? we live in florida she lives in virginia

It sounds a little ungrateful, but she's family. From what it sounds like, she and her man are having a hard time and she's probably thinking more about her marriage and children than of you and your mom. Maybe she doesn't mean to, but it's so hard trying to keep a family in trouble together that you should try to make allowances. Just so long as she doesn't pull that kind of thing all the time.

Sounds a bit rude and ungratefull. She should have called first with the change in plans. As a mother i can understand not wanting my kids to be away from me for a minute longer than necessary, but that was not a good way to handle it.
